Adrienne moved to Bloomington-Normal in 1991 when her mother took a position as a professor in the Health Sciences Department at Illinois State University. The Davis Davis Mansion was a place they frequently visited together for special events and tours, and one of the reasons she was inspired to work in museums.

Adrienne attended both Chiddix Junior High and Normal Community High School before earning undergraduate degrees in Art History and Anthropology at Beloit College. Her very first internship was at Bloomington’s own McLean County Museum of History. She continued her education at the University of Illinois - Chicago and Johns Hopkins University, where she completed masters degrees in Art History and Museum Studies.

Adrienne has had a long and diverse career in museums, and the pleasure of working in wonderful institutions such as the Chazen Museum of Art, the Wisconsin State Historical Society, the Walker Art Center, the Field Museum of Natural History, the Peoria PlayHouse Children’s Museum, and more.
