The David Davis Mansion at 1000 Monroe Drive in Bloomington is administered by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. Completed in 1872 for U.S. Supreme Court Justice David Davis and his wife, Sarah, the Mansion was constructed on the Judge's property near the site of the original farm house where Abraham Lincoln often visited the Davises. The Mansion is open to the public for tours Wednesday through Saturday, except holidays, from 9am to 4pm.
The David Davis Mansion Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides funding to support education programs for area school children, special events for the community, and preservation, restoration and maintenance for the Mansion, its outbuildings and grounds, and for Sarah's Historic Heirloom Garden. Proceeds collected at Mansion events go for these purposes.
The McLean County Antique Automobile Club's members are committed to the preservation of antique automobiles and enjoy the camaraderie that goes along with these preservation efforts.
